24 Jul Wedding Flowers – Inspiration for Bouquets and Buttonholes
It’s been an exciting and eventful year so far with lots of gorgeous couples getting married and saying ‘I do’. I’ve been enjoying driving in the sunshine to stunning venues across Scotland to deliver bridal bouquets and buttonholes and set up wedding venue flowers. Recently I’ve been to private estates on the Ayrshire coast, in the lush green countryside to decorate farmyard venues, and enjoyed the views from luxurious Loch Lomond hotels where love has been in the air and couples have been tying the knot in style.
Below are images of bridal bouquets and a selection of buttonholes from recent weddings which might inspire ideas for your own big day. The first bouquet was created with roses, calla lilies, blush pink astilbe, white hydrangea, pink lissianthus and green ruscus foliage. The gentlemen wore a simple white rose and thistle buttonhole on their lapels.
The second bridal bouquet in delicate shades of lilacs, purples and creams encompasses vanda orchids, deep purple stocks, mauve and white cala lilies, viburnum, lilac lissianthus and and white hydrangea. The pretty buttonhole was made for the mother of the bride with sweet smelling freesia, a purple vanda orchid and a pale grey succulent leaf, with a pearl pin to complete the piece.
